Founder, Carman’s Kitchen
Carman’s was founded in 1992 by Carolyn Creswell. The then 18 year old first-year university student bought the small muesli business where she worked part-time for $1,000. Fast-forward to present and Carman’s gourmet range is now available in all major supermarkets across Australia, as well as being exported to many countries around the world.
Carolyn’s business acumen has led to a number of accolades including the 2012 Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year and the 2007 Ernst & Young’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. She is also a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. As a proud mother of four young children with her husband Peter, Carolyn has a strong commitment to healthy work-life balance which is also reflected in the supportive culture of the Carman’s office.

Kym joined Australian United Retailers Ltd in October 2015 as the Chief Operating Officer with over 35 years of retail and wholesaling experience gained at BILO, Metcash and various small businesses. He has a wealth of knowledge in the independent supermarket industry through a wide variety of operational and business development roles. After starting his career as a butcher in Weeks’ BILO Supermarket he worked in numerous roles in his 15 years with the company. He then joined David’s/Metcash where he held positions including Fresh Food Manager SA/NT and several State, General and National Manager roles over 21 years. During this time he developed close working relationships with many independent store owners across the FoodWorks and IGA store networks as well as strong knowledge in supply chain and warehouse management. Kym is now responsible for overseeing the Retail Operations and Business & Store Development teams within FoodWorks.
After leading retail teams for some of Australia’s biggest brands, Darryl Cotter is helping shape the future of Retail Convenience with South Australia’s largest private employer, OTR. Darryl has a broad range of established leadership skills, specialising in leading and building successful teams. Darryl’s expertise has developed through numerous senior roles across Human Resources, Training and Operations. This has culminated in his current role as General Manager at OTR where he leads more than 2,300 employees across 168 sites. Recently Darryl was recognised as one of South Australia’s Top 40 Under 40 business leaders, honouring the brightest and most accomplished young leaders in the state.

Skye Jackson is an experienced convenience and retail expert, having worked at Ampol Australia for 15 years.
With extensive experience in retail transformation, Skye has a passion for all things customer and delivering
new formats that meet the changing needs of every day Australians. Skye played a pivotal role in the roll out of
over 60 Caltex The Foodary stores, and more recently has led for Ampol the co-creation of the Ampol Woolworths
Metro format with Woolworths. Skye is now the GM of Merchandise, where she leads the commercial team at Ampol.

As Group General Manager at TPG Telecom, James is responsible for leading consumer sales across the TPG portfolio of brands including Vodafone, Lebara, iiNet and TPG for Mobile and Broadband services. In this role, he is building a purpose driven environment from his expertise in sales channel strategy, coaching and developing high performing sales teams across retail, digital/online sales, and channel/strategic partnership accounts. James has held senior positions ranging from CEO of Virgin Mobile; General Manager, Sales Channels & Operations at Optus; Head of Sales, Optus Wholesale, and more recently as Sales Director at Foxtel. James began his career at Exxon-Mobil as Manager of NSW Operated Retail, where he spent 6 years with the retail and operations teams focusing on retail support and efficiencies.
Head of Field Sales, Nestle Australia
Leah initially joined Nestle Australia as the Head of eCommerce to cement Nestle’s leadership in online. In her current role, she has the responsibility of leading, motivating and inspiring a 425-strong field team across the Convenience & Impulse, Supermarket and Pharmacy channels. Previously, Leah spent 11 years with global wine and spirits company Pernod Ricard where she held various commercial roles in both the retail and on premise channels, leaving the company as National Sales Manager – Independents. Leah’s career began within the sales team at GlaxoSmithKline over 23 years ago, after completing university. Her love of consumer goods and retail started on the shop floor at her local Woolworths as a teenager. Today, she still enjoys working in store with her team, a place where the opportunities are endless.
Sales Director, Retail, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners
Dominic joined Coca-Cola Europacific Partners in April 1996 after three years working for the Coles Myer group.
With over 25 years in the Coca-Cola system, Dominic has worked across multiple channels including Convenience, Grocery, Licensed, QSR and Route. He also has extensive category management experience in both the Non-Alcoholic Ready to Drink (NARTD) and Alcoholic beverage categories. Dominic is currently Sales Director, Retail and is responsible for the Grocery, Convenience & Petroleum sales channels as well as NPD commercialisation, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Category and Integrated Activity Planning functions.
Dominic holds a Bachelor of Commerce (UWS) and an MBA (SGSM).
